Hoy día 22 de noviembre de 2011 es el día de la música. Y para celebrar semejante acontecimiento hemos trabajado en clase la vida y obra del maravilloso y fenomenal autor español JOAQUÍN RODRIGO.

Nació hoy hace 110 años y es famoso por la composición del "Concierto de Aranjuez".

Hay va una pequeña biografía:

En la capital gala trabó amistad con personalidades tan eminentes como Manuel de Falla, Honegger o Ravel. En 1933 contrajo matrimonio con la pianista turca Victoria Kamhi y, después de una estancia en Suiza, se instalaron definitivamente en Madrid a partir de 1940, donde ganó la plaza de catedrático de Historia de la Música para la Universidad de Madrid.

Ese mismo año presentó su Concierto de Aranjuez para guitarra y orquesta que le daría fama universal. El compositor mostró en esta obra un estilo inconfundible, al que denominó "neocasticismo". En sus composiciones destaca la preferencia por las formas clásicas y los elementos refinados como enlace entre las tradiciones españolas del pasado y las tradiciones del presente. Conocedor de las corrientes estéticas europeas, no abandonó su propio estilo, con el que continuamente afirmó su propia personalidad.

Escribió obras en todas las estructuras musicales formales, particularmente el concierto. Sus composiciones incluyeron música para teatro, y cultivó, sobre todo, la música vocal (Cántico de la esposa, 1934; Cuatro madrigales amatorios, 1948), aportando a la canción un nuevo lenguaje universal con piezas maestras. Además, compuso importantes obras para violín, violoncelo y flauta. No obstante, debe su fama a su contribución al repertorio de guitarra, dándole universalidad a la guitarra española como instrumento de concierto.
